The poor families will suffer while the rich kids get their waterford education paid by the taxpayers.
Class Envy, how quaint. So let me get this straight. If public education is a sewer, you want to keep all the rats trapped inside?
The Utah Supreme Court will say a voucher system that does not allow vouchers to go to public schools as well would be unconstitutional.

You may be correct about that, but what is wrong with this? What would be wrong with each child receiving a voucher and this be turned in to a public school during registration, and allow the principle not the school district to operate that school. The district would be responsible for the maint and upkeep of the building, but everything else is set at the school level.
As far as the Utah Constitution, maybe it's time we made some changes. I think it's safe to say that if the early Mormon Pioneers saw how our education system has morphed into the institution we have today they would string up the Legislature for allowing it to happen.

The first anonymous obviously does not understand that the proposed voucher will be means-tested. The rich kids at Waterford will not be getting vouchers.
