No Bull - I just can't stop laughing
Story sent to me from my Brother-in-Law up in Washington State.
My wife and I went to the rodeo and one of the first exhibits we stopped at was the breeding bulls.
We went up to the first pen and there was a sign attached that said, ' THIS BULL MATED 50 TIMES LAST YEAR'
My wife playfully nudged me in the ribs ...Smiled and said, 'He mated 50 times last year.'
We walked to the second pen which had a sign attached that said,
''THIS BULL MATED 150 TIMES LAST YEAR'
My wife gave me a healthy jab and said, 'WOW~~That's more than twice a week! .........You could learn a lot from him.'
We walked to the third pen and it had a sign attached that said, in capital letters,
'THIS BULL MATED 365 TIMES LAST YEAR'
My wife was so excited that her elbow nearly broke my ribs, and said, 'That's once a day ..You could REALLY learn something from this one.'
I looked at her and said, 'Go over and ask him if it was with the same old cow.'
My condition has been upgraded from critical to stable and I should eventually make a full recovery.

I also like how my supporters claim my youthful drug use and criminal behavior somehow qualifies me for the Presidency after 8 years of claiming Bush's youthful drinking disqualifies him. Your hypocrisy is a beacon of hope shining over a sea of political posing.
I would also like to thank the Kennedy's for coming out in s upport of me. There's a lot of glamour behind the Kennedy name, even though JFK started the Vietnam War, his brother Robert illegally wiretapped Martin Luther King, Jr. and Teddy killed a teenage girl. And I'm not going anywhere near the cousins, both literally and figuratively.
And I'd like to thank Oprah Winfrey for her support. Her love of meaningless empty platitudes will be the force that propels me to the White House.
Americans should vote for me, not because of my lack of experience or achievement, but because I make people feel good. Voting for me causes some white folk to feel relieved of their imagined, racist guilt.
I say things that sound meaningful, but don't really mean anything because Americans are tired of things having meaning. If things have meaning, then that means you have to think about them.
Americans are tired of thinking.
It's time to shut down the brain, and open up the heart.
So when you go to vote in the primaries, remember don't think, just do.
And do it for me.

HB 493 Stalking amendments passes Legislature:
The bill modifies the Criminal Code regarding the elements and penalties for the offense of stalking, and addresses the use of new technology of Instant Messaging, email, blogs, and other electronic delivery services used by stalkers.
I have been somewhat silent on this blog regarding this Legislation; however I have been actively involved behind the scenes. I was ridiculed by many bloggers and others indicating that a Stalking Injunction I filed to protect my wife and a child from someone who I personally believe to be mentally unstable was purely politically motivated. This argument was proffered by the defense attorney in the initial emergency hearing, subsequent full hearing, and additionally upon appeal to the Utah Supreme Court. All three court decisions rejected this argument.
This newly passed legislation clearly defines cyber harassment as being included in the law. One only need read the bill and you will see exactly why this legislation was proposed and passed both the House and Senate with only 3 dissenting votes. When elected officials started to personally receive the same cyber stalking harassment, they were motivated to update the law to address instant messaging, email, blog sites, and other electronic delivery systems.
I would hope the Supreme Court decision and HB 493 puts to rest that this action was somehow not warranted, and would expect several bloggers who were very vocal in opposition to my actions, without the actual facts of the case, that they might want to apologize to my wife and family.

ENPR: Hillary's Wins Raise Prospect of the Unthinkable -- A Contested Convention

Outlook
- Think about the unthinkable: a contested Democratic convention in Denver, with the identity of the Democratic presidential nominee unknown until just before Labor Day. That's the impact of Sen. Hillary Clinton's (D-N.Y.) remarkable performance Tuesday that broke her long losing streak against Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.): a big win in Ohio where she was supposed to win narrowly, if at all, and unexpected wins in Texas and Rhode Island.
- A group of prominent Democrats was being formed secretly to go to Clinton to ask her to bow out for the sake of party solidarity. Now, neither candidate, counting their current super-delegates and potential unpledged delegates, can win a majority of delegates even after the Pennsylvania primary April 22. It is hard to imagine either bowing out. That raises the possibility of carnage in Denver with the super-delegates and the disputed Michigan and Florida delegations in play.
- The budget fight in Congress beginning next week will be a many-sided political battle touching on issues ranging from Iraq to immigration. Look for Republicans to launch an attack on earmarks and force Democrats to vote on Clinton and Obama spending plans.
The fate of American Manufacturing and Management Idiots
A Japanese company ( Toyota ) and an American company (Ford) decided to have a canoe race on the Missouri River Both teams practiced long and hard to reach their peak performance before the race.
On the big day, the Japanese won by a mile.
The Americans, very discouraged and depressed, decided to investigate the reason for the crushing defeat. A management team made up of senior management was formed to investigate and recommend appropriate action.
Their conclusion was the Japanese had 8 people rowing and 1 person steering, while the American team had 8 people steering and 1 person rowing.
Feeling a deeper study was in order, American management hired a consulting company and paid them a large amount of money for a second opinion.
They advised, of course, that too many people were steering the boat, while not enough people were rowing.
Not sure of how to utilize that information , but wanting to prevent another loss to the Japanese, the rowing team's management structure was totally reorganized to 4 steering supervisors, 3 area steering superintendents and 1 assistant superintendent steering manager.
They also implemented a new performance system that would give the 1 person rowing the boat greater incentive to work harder. It was called the 'Rowing Team Quality First Program,' with meetings, dinners and free pens for the rower. There was discussion of getting new paddles, canoes and other equipment, extra vacation days for practices and bonuses.
The next year the Japanese won by two miles.
Humiliated, the American management laid off the rower for poor performance, halted development of a new canoe, sold the paddles, and canceled all capital investments for new equipment. The money saved was distributed to the Senior Executives as bonuses and the next year's racing team was out-sourced to India
Sadly, The End.
Here's something else to think about: Ford has spent the last thirty years moving all its factories out of the US , claiming they can't make money paying American wages.
TOYOTA has spent the last thirty years building more than a dozen plants inside the US. The last quarter's results:
TOYOTA makes 4 billion in profits while Ford racked up 9 billion in losses.
Ford folks are still scratching their heads.

Utah Supreme Court Rejects Ridgway
The Utah Supreme court in a 4-1 opinion rejected the claims that a stalking injunction order filed against him was not valid and unconstitutional. The court did however remand back to the 3rd district court regarding finding of facts be included in the decision.
The original stalking injunction remains in place and fully enforceable.

Supporters of Sen. Barack Obama concede that Sen. Hillary Clinton's aggressiveness rescued him from a serious blunder in last Tuesday's presidential debate at Cleveland, when he hesitated at rejecting a lavish endorsement of him by black Muslim leader Louis Farrakhan.
Obama deplored Farrakhan's record of anti-Semitic comments but indicated he could not reject his backing -- a horrible gaffe for a rookie presidential candidate. But Clinton could not let it rest at that and burst in to say that she had rejected backing for her 2000 Senate candidacy in New York from the Independence Party, some of whose leaders had taken anti-Semitic positions. That gave Obama a chance to assert that, considering her example, he indeed would reject Farrakhan.
A footnote: Supporters feel Obama did err in repeatedly referring to Farrakhan with the honorific of ''minister,'' instead of calling him Mr. Farrakhan or just plain Farrakhan.

House votes to expand definition of stalking
Sending unwanted text messages or e-mails could soon be considered stalking in Utah.
The House voted Friday to update the state's definition of stalking.
Actions that cause distress, such as sending messages, taking photographs or repeatedly showing up at friends' or relatives' homes, would be stalking under the proposal.
Delivering items to someone's home or workplace could also be considered stalking under House Bill 493. The measure is supported by prosecutors and victim advocates.
HB 493 will now be heard in the Senate.
I wonder how this happened :)
